Go with the Flo

Located in St Thomas’ Hospital on the banks of the river Thames, Florence Nightingale Museum celebrates the life and work of the world’s most famous nurse. The museum attracts visitors from all over the world who want to learn more about the Lady with the Lamp and her Victorian world.

As the primary means for potential visitors to find out about the museum, we were tasked to redesign their website which was looking tired, received a low volume of hits and was painful for members of staff to maintain.

Our solution, aside from being aesthetically pleasing is designed to be more agile, interactive, easier to read and navigate with the ultimate aim of turning web visitors into museum goers. It is also content rich and includes features such as the voice of Florence Nightingale, one of the first recordings ever made in 1890 using an Edison phonograph wax cylinder. Listen here

We are delighted to report that in its first month the number of site visitors has more than quadrupled.
